CONDITIONS IN ASHBURTON. Although sunny in Ashburton to-day, a light, cool breeze kept conditions from becoming warm. There was a ground frost of 7.G degrees and a screen frost of 0.8 degrees last- night. Maximum and minimum temperatures yesterday were 49.3 and 31.2 degrees 'respectively compared with 43. G and 28.-5 degrees on Monday. The barometer read 30.4 inches this morning. The reading yesterday was 29.98.
