FAREWELL GIFTS.

PRESENTATIONS AT RAKAIA. Mr F. J. Colgan, who has been statio'nmaster at Bakaia for nine years and who has been transferred to the audit department at Christchurch, was bidden farewell by. residents at a social on Tuesday evening. Mr Colgan was president of the Bakaia Returned Soldiers’ Association, and of the Bakaia Bowling Club. He was on the committee of the Bakaia Bowling Club for eight years. A wallet of notes from residents, a crystal bowl from the howling club, a howls hag from the railway employees, and gifts from the football club and Homo Guard unit, and a travelling bag from the Returned Soldiers’ Association were presented.
