ITALIAN EAST AFRICAN EMPIRE. OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT MADE RESUMPTION OF TRADE. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Rec. 11.40 a.m.) LONDON, July 30. The first official announcement that the whole of the Italian East African Empire is now conquered was made by the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs (Mr R. A. Eden) and the War Office. They state: “The whole of the territories formerly known as the Italian East Africa are areas ill occupation of his Majesty.”

The Board of Trade has accordingly issued an order authorising resump tion of trade with persons within this area. —British Official Wireless.
