LANDING ON BEACH.

PASSENGER PLANE AT BRIGHTON £ FOG AT HAREWOOD AERODROME (P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, This (Day. Owing to low fog over the Harewood Aerodrome the Union airliner Kaka, from Dunedin, « landed on the New Brighton beach this morning. The piano was over Harewood 15 minutes ahead of schedule, hut the aerodrome was so obscured that the commander, Mr A. G. Gerrard, decided to make a landing on the beach, where visibility was excellent. As the fog continued at Harewood, passengers tor the north were taken to New Brighton by car and the plane took off at 11.30 for Wellington and Auckland.
