The New Zealanders returned from Greece with their tails up; Mr Peter Fraser told the British United Press correspondent at Cairo. Mr Fraser added that they are thoroughly convinced they can wipe out the Germans if the odds are more or less equal. The decision to send an expeditionary forco to Greece was absolutely right. Asked whether the situation in the Pacific had improved, Mr Fraser replied: “If wo knew what happened when Air M&tsuoka and Hitler mot, I would answer that question.”
