FAIRLIE SHOW.
ENTRIES COMING IN WELL. From inquiries made from the secretary, it is learned that the prospects for large entries for the show to be held at Fairlie on Easter Monday are good. Exhibitors include some from as far afield as Auckland, Napier, Waikato and North Canterbury. Entries will be taken up to Saturday, April 5. The show grounds, after the recent rains', are in very good order and the work of preparing them for the show is well under way. The kennel section of the show is again attracting interest among dog fanciers, as also are the sections for needlework and cookery. All classes of stock should come forward in good condition.* From the number of inquiries made for side-show space, the amusement section of the show will be well catered for. The Timaru and Mackenzie Highland Pipe Bands will be present and visitors will be assured of an enjoyable day iri the bracing air of the Highlands, 1000 ft above the sea.
