MARRIED MEN TO VOLUNTEER.
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Making a detailed announcement-con-cerning the stabilisation’ of the Territorial Force, the Minister of Defence (the Hon. F. Jones) said to-day that in future Territorials would comprise: Balloted single men of the age of 10 and under 20, between 24 and 40 graded la and 2, between 41 'arid 1 46-and single Irion between 21 nncf 40 : who have been recommended by the appeal boards for alternative service, and'also volunteers taken from single men- between the ages of 19 and 45.
Married men of the same ages with not- more, than three dependents, under, the age of 16, who volunteered before July, 22, 1940, but were graded la and

The medical papers of men already examined were being reviewed to seseJect those fit for the Territorials, while single men aged 19 and under 20 and between 41 and 46 would be examined as soon as their names were published in the Gazette to-morrow." As the men become available'they will besent to camp for 12 weeks’ 'continuous laming, the first drafts commencing parly in April and thereafter fresh drafts entering camp, beginning each: month. , .
Mr Jones said that vacancies in the coast and anti-aircraft artillery would be filled by single men graded la or 2 and married volunteers. These would be required for full-time duty.. Meu called up would have the right of appeal, and the Minister said he anticipated that at least 14 days’ notice would be given to men required to g<j into training, ;
