HOUSES SUFFER FROM BLAST
(Received This Day, 11.20 a.m.) LONDON, January 7
Repeated gunfire in many parts of London for a long period to-day resulted from single enemy planes attempting hit and run raids under cover of IoAA'-lying clouds.
One bomb scored a direct hit on a church steeple in London in the afternoon, demolishing portion of the church. Debris fell on a tram, injuring several people. The blast damaged nearby houses and shops.
