BOWLING.

TWO TOURNAMENTS YESTERDAY,

ASHBURTON AND ALLENTON. Sixteen players took part in the three-bowl competition held by the Allenton Bowling Club yesterday. In the leads, A. Douglas and A. Griffith tied, but Douglas won oh points. In the skips’ competition, Grant, a. visitor, was the winner with four wins. At the Ashburton bowling green W. H. Woods, W. Finn and W. D. Bakers tied in the skips competition with wins each. M oods, however, scored 26 points, Dakers 18 and Finn 17. The loads’ competition was won by W. Henshaw, with five wins, and A. Shaw was second with 3£ wins.

Both clubs held tournaments to-day
