SCHOOL BREAK-UP.

SPORTS HELD AT TIN WALD. ,

The annual break-up ceremony of the Tinwald School was held .yesterday afternoon before a good attendance o residents. The ‘chairman (Mr J. Harper) congratulated the children and teachers on a successful year’s work both in their studies and in their sports. . After giving a resume of the school year, the headmaster (Mr R. M. K. Clague) referred to the good support the school had always been given by the parents and the friendly relations that had prevailed among the staff, committee and parents. The Rev. D. D. MacLacldan stressed the fact that it. is more important to he good than clever, and the greater need for good people to-day than ever before. •

Mr J. Lowery, a past chairman, presented the Dux medal to Margaret Robertson.

The Annual Sports.

The annual school sports were also held. The boys’ championship cup was won by. -Keith Bell and the girls’ cup by Norma Laffey.
