KING POTTS WINS HANDICAP.

For the second day of the Forbury Park Trotting Club’s meeting the weather was fine and sunny. The track was in splendid order find the totalisator handled £137,983, as compared with £29,,291 10s on the second day last year, which was a Saturday. The total for the meeting was £66,482, compared with £49,531 for the two days last year, an increase of £16,951. After the Spitfire Handicap, Mr A. 0. Wellwood, the judge, was informed that he could not, under the rules, have an assistant with him in the box. As he had had an assistant for 11 races at the meeting, Mr Wellwood declined< to act without an assistant. Mr J. Stevens acted as judge for the remainder of the programme. Concluding results: Birthday Handicap, of £4OO, 4.32 class; two miles—l-2 King Potts 24 (Gunning) 1, 2-1 Loyal Rey 12 2, 3-3 Peter Smith 36 3. Won by a neck, a length second and .third. Time, 4.22. Empire Handicap/ of £2OO, 3.16 class; one mile and three furlongs—--1-1 Kid Wolf 36 (Gallagher) 1, 4-4 Labour Day 12 2, 5-5 Worthy Cross scr 3. ■Win by a length and a half, two lengths second and third. LARGE TOTALISATOR, INCREASE,

AUCKLAND, November 25. The Auckland Racing Club's Spring Meeting yas concluded in brilliant weather. The track was fast and the attendance was 16,500, against 7000 last year. The totalisator for the day was £72,270 10s, against £37,382, an increase of £34,888 10s. For the meeting £124,300 10s was handled, against £92,087 10s, an increase of £32,213. The interference by Calula Boy in the Takapuna Plate on the first day. Was found .by the stewards to be the fault of the horse’s jockey, Gilchrist. No action was taken. Concluding results:—

SOUTHLAND RACING CLUB. ' MONA’S 'SONG WINS. CUP. INVERCARGILL, November 25. The Southland Racing Club’s spring meeting was held to-day in ideal weather. The track was in good order, and the totalisator handled £20,195, compared with £15,812 last year, when the meeting was held on a Saturday. Concluding results:—

The second day of the' Levin Racing Club’s meeting was held in fine weather before a large attendance. The
