FRIENDLY SOCIETY.

MAYFIELD GIRLS’ MEETING The monthly meeting of the Mayfield Girls’ Friendly Society was held on Thursday afternoon, when the leader (Miss ®, Goldsmith) presided oyer a fair attendance.

It was reported that Miss Stubberficld had been appointed member of the Council in place of Mrs Anderson. It was decided that a collection of threepence per member and sixpence per associate be taken up to assist the G.F.S. Funds in England, and arrangements were made for the garden party.

A competition was won by Miss J. Shimmin. It ivas decided that the next meeting be held on the third Thursday in April. The hostess was Miss D. Oakley.
