ROSE SHOW

TINWALD PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH BLOOMS OF HIGH QUALITY SIXTEENTH ANNUAL FIXTURE Considering that the season has been such a difficult one for,flowers the quality of the blooms exhibited in tfie sixteenth annual rose show of .St. James’s Presbyterian Church, Tinwald, held this afternoon in the Central Hall, was of a very high standard. The show was opened by the Rev. W. Fairlie Evans, of Wakanui, who said it had been instituted by the late Rev. W. Marshall 16 years ago. The champion bloom, a Margaret Chambard, was exhibited by Mrs H. D. Gunn. A display of roses was provided by Messrs Millichamp Bros. Mr A. J. Millichamp was judge. Stalls and afternoon tea were controlled by tho following:— Cake Mesdames J. M. McGeagh (convener), K Campbell. Harper, A. Gunn.
