LONDON HAS A QUIET NIGHT.

As far as is ascertainable, not a single bomb was dropped on London last night. The German communique confines claims to successes to raids on Wednesday night. A communique states: Bombs were dropped on a village in the. Home Counties this morning and on a town on the south-east coast this afternoon. Some houses were damaged in each case, but the number of casualties was very small. A bomber which reached ‘the Home Counties was shot down, and another bomber which appeared off the southeast coast about mid-day was also destroyed.—British Official Wireless.
