PLANES FLY A MILLJON.MILES

On their nightly flights, mine-laying aircraft of the Bomber Command have flown 1,000,000 miles, according to the Air Ministry’s news service. They cruised over home waters and penetrated through distant seas into channels where mine-laying ships cannot come. They dropped mines in the North Sea, the'English Channel, the Atlantic, the Kattegat (the Skaggerrak and even in the Kiel Canal.
