BRITISH BOMBERS.

ACTIVITY ON EPIRUS FRONT. BRINDISI NAVAL BASE DAMAGED LONDON, November 7. Britisji aeroplanes co-operatel with the Greek Air Force in its patrol work and raids yesterday. British bombers attacked towns and ports in southern Italy and ports in Albania. Valona, a:.-, important receiving base for the Epirus front and the Italian naval base at Brindisi were heavily damaged.

A lloval Air Force communique states that British planes to-day extensively reconnoitred' Italian ports and coastal waters, and fighters patrolled over Greek territory without meeting Italian aeroplanes. The official correspondent of the Ital inn Stefani News Agency reports that the Italian engineers yin Albania are working feverishly to convert the nude tracks in the mountainous country into roads for the transport of troops. Ho describes how these engineers have frequently to put clown tlieir tools and stop work to deal with the constant attacks made on them by the Greeks.

Signor Ansaldo, editor of Count Ciano’s newspaper, “II Telegrafo,” in broadcasting a reproof,to those Italian who have complained that the war against Greece lias taken an unsatisfactory course, said it should be re membered that conditions in Greece did not permit of a blitzkrieg like that used against Flanders and France. He admitted that tanks were of no use in the mountainous regions, and that the effectiveness of aircraft was limited. The Greek Prime Minister (General Metaxas), in a broadcast,..after attending the funeral of the first British air man to lose his life in fighting tor Greece- against the Italians, said that British aid for Greece was flowing into the country according to plan.
