The Horn. AY. J. Rogers, AI.L.C., has announced that he will again contest the Mayoralty of Wanganui, which he has already held for four terms '(says a Press Association telegram).
Mr J . H., Tucker, of Sidney, is staying with hjs mother, Mts Joshua Tucker, sent., of Allemton, haying made the journey across the Tasman Sea to take part in. the celebration of his mother’s 82nd birthday.
The Per. A. Mcßean, Sister Mildred Messrs F. Frampton and H. Money, of the ‘Methodist Church, at Ashburton, and the Rev. W. W. Avery and Miami Mrs W. Lill (Willowby) will attend the fitouth Canterbury district Methodist Synod at Oamaru.
