The Air Ministry and Home Security communique states: “Reports of raids in- this country last night show that in a town in the east of Scotland a public house was demolished, a number of persons who were sheltering there being killed. “In London, though the damage to houses wag more widespread than was at first thought, the: general scale of damage in the capital during the night was not heavy and it is confirmed that the number of casualties, was not large.
