SINKING OF TWO U-BOATS.

ONE ATTACKER OF EMPRESS OF BRITAIN.

(Received This Day, 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, November 5

The destruction in five days of two U-boats, one of which sank the Empress of Britain, is revealed in an Admiralty statement: “The sinking of the Empress of Britain constitutes a heavy loss, but although it is unusual for the Admiralty to publish regular sinkings of U-boats, they are able to state that two German U-boats were sunk during the period, one of which was the U-boat responsible for the sinking of the Empress of Britain.—British Official Wireless.
