Mil- G. Kelly (County Clerk) attended a. meeting in connection with patriotic work in: Christchurch to-day. Father G. Daly underwent an operation in Warwick Private Hospital this "morning. The operation is stated to have been successful. Air M. H. Hopkins, of the telegraph branch of the Ashburton post Office, will leave on transfer to the telegraph branch at Wellington next week. Private R. G. Allen (treasurer of the St. Andrew’s Physical Training Club) who is on leave was met iby the. committee last evening and presented with a razor and! shaving outfit by Air A. CWlcter (instructor). The Rev. R. S. Watson (president) and Mr A. Ross (secretary) also spoke.
