MURDER CHARGE.

HEARING COMMENCED' TO-DAY, (Per Press Association). AUCKLAND, October 29. In custody since his arrest on a charge of the murder of Jeremiah O’Sullivan at Mununui, near Tauma-' runui, on September 22, Charles Harold Longley, aged 39, a labourer, appeared in the Magistrate’s Court before Mr W. R. McKean, S.M., to-day, when the police .obtained a remand until to-morrow at Taumaruuui.

The preliminary hearing of the charge will commence to-morrow afternoon at Taumaruuui.
