AWARUA ARRIVES.
ENGINE TROUBLE NOT SERIOUS. (Per Press Association). AUCKLAND, October 29.’ Leaving Sydney late last night, the flying boat Awa-rua arrived at 9 o’clock this morning. It was one of. the few occasions when the Tasman lias been, crossed by flying boats partly at night. Captain Burgess said that the trouble occasioned by a slight oil seepage which caused the Awarua to turn back to Sydney yesterday was not serious, only a minor adjustment being required. A full complement of passengers was carried. The American Clipper which arrived at Noumea from Auckland at 5.10 p.m. yesterday, left for Canton Island at 6.36 a.m,. to-day (New Zealand time) on the flight to San Francisco.
