TO CLEAR DEBT.
TINWALD PRESBYTERIAN HALL FURTHER. APPEAL LAUNCHED'. Inaugurating the final appeal of the Centennial campaign to liquidate the remaining debt on the Presbyterian Central Hall, Tinwald, the Rev. D. D. MacLachlan 'was able to inform the special committee that through promise cards the debt had been reduced 1 to under £2OO. He had reason to hope that the response to the appeal would mean the clearing off of all the debt. The building was valued at £l3oo'. Mr MacLachlan’ said that the hall had proved an acquisition to the township as well ,as to the South Presbyterian Charge. Friends and well-wish-ers had urged him tot launch this lightning appeal, said Mr MacLachlan, and it had the approval of the Ashburton Presbytery.
