ASHBURTON’S SHARE. NATIONAL PATRIOTIC FUND. Of the National Patriotic Fund of. one million pounds the Ashburton District quota will be £13,000, according to advice received by the “Guardian” from, the Town,Clerk (Mr R. C. Major). The County is to find £BOOO and the Borough £SOOO. A meeting of local body representatives will be held tomorrow afternoon to form a Rehabilitation Executive for the Ashburton zone.

It will be necessary to arrange for the methods of collecting the money by house-to-house collections, a series of entertainments, including a queen carnival, and this will be discussed in detail at a public meeting to be held at a later date.
