SERIOUS INJURIES.
MAN KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR
IN ASHBURTON LAST EVENING. Mr Arthur Gourdie, aged 46 years, of 71 Wills Street, Ashburton suffered very serious injuries when be was knocked over at the corner of Havelock and East Streets shortly before 9 o’clock last evening, by a car driven by Mr Douglas Anderson, «of Wellington Street.
The injuned man was admitted to the Ashburton Public Hospital where early this afternoon he was reported to be very seriously ill.
