A gift of £5 from the Farmers’ Union, Women’s Division, and doling Farmers’ Club’s annual ball was received .

It was decided to open transport classes in Methven in the near future. It was reported that 11 girls had sat for their home nursing certificates and that first-aid classes had begun for the second time. Final arrangements were in hand for the Red Cross ball to be held on August 7. It was decided to hold a bridge evening in conjunction with the hall, and that supper should he served in Wright, Stephenson’s shod. ; The fortnightly sales depot, which was in charge of the Methodist Ladies’ Guild, did brisk business.
