THE METHVEN CLUB. Perfect shooting conditions prevailed for the monthly shoot of the Metliven Gun Club. There was a larger attendance of members than usual. In the otliei sweepstakes he shared first money, and in a 15-clay-bird match, in which he tied with A. McLeod and L. C. McLeod also showed a return to form, being in the money twice, and his contest with Anderson in the trophy match was full of merit.. In the fourth shoot of the series for the president’s handicap of 14 birds, S. H. Anderson was the only one to score the possible and won first money in the sweepstake. L. C. Anderson, G. A. Franks ,J. T. Corbet, T. S. Harrison and F. Quested werp next with 13 birds and divided the balance of the sweepstake. W. J. Robertson, W. M. Holland and A. 'McLeod broke 12 and G. Gerald 11.
