THE ASHBURTON CLUB.
ELECTION OF THE OFFICERS. Satisfaction with the last season was expressed by members of the Ashburton Bowling Club at the annual meeting on Saturday evening, when the vicepresident (My H. R. D. Porter) presided. The annual report and balance sheet (published on Saturday) were adopted. It was decided to reduce by £1 the annual subscription for colts. Officers were elected as follow: — President, Mr H. R. D. Porter; vicepresident, Mr F. Pritchard; secretary, Mr 0. J. McEachen; treasurer, Mr E. Edmiston; auditor, Mr F. Pritchard ; committee, Messrs T. J. Cameron, W. B. W. Bell, L. A. King, W. Tnlloch, M. J. Leith, and G. W. Tinker; delegate to Ashburton Bowling Sub-Centre, Messrs E. A. Cockroft, Porter, and Pritchard; delegate to Ashburton Sports Association, Mr ’S'. Mitchell.; delegate to Christchurch Centre, Mr B. J. Finnegan; social supervisor, Mr Mitclvell; selection committee, Messrs Cockroft. Porter and Pritchard: ties committee, Messrs McEachen and J. E. Carter.
