MAIL DELIVERIES.
ONLY TWO IN BUSINESS AREA.
CHANGE IN BOX CLEARANCES. Starting on Monday there will be only two deliveries of letters by postmen in the business section of Ashburton and oil Saturdays there will he one delivery. The delivery which started at 11 o’clock each day is to be- cut out. Changes have also been announced regarding the clearing of posting boxes. In the business area the boxes will be cleared as follows: Mondays, 9 a.m. and 2.30 p.m.; Tuesdays to Fridays, 9 a.m. and 4.45 p.m.; Saturdays, noon. -Other boxes will be cleared as follows: —-Mondays, 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.; Tuesdays to Fridays, 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.; Saturdays, 9 a.m. The- clearance of boxes at 5 o’clock in the morning hats been cut- out.
These changes have been decided on with a view to further conserving manpower.
