MR DUNCAN’S DENIAL. NEWSPAPER REPORT CORRECT
(Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, This Day. The Meat Producers Board has issued the following statement: “It is unfortunate that the statement of the chairman of the Meat Board (Mr 1. A. Duncan) at Cambridge has been challenged and that it has been represented that !Mr Duncan has now repudiated that statement as published in the Press. “During an interview with ropiosontatives of the Board the Hon. Walter Nash referred to the purport ol a telephone message had received from Cambridge. Mr Duncan repudiated the accuracy of this message as it did not correctly express what he had said. At the time of the interview with Air Nash Mr Duncan had not seen the newspaper report ol his speech. Later, having seen the report, Duncan affirms that tho newspaper report is substantially correct.”
