A QUICK RETURN.
PAYMENT FOR WOOL. (Special to the “Guardian.”) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The wool department of the New Zealand ’Farmers’ Co-operative Association of Canterbury, Ltd., lias created what is possibly a record in issuing credit notes to clients from the sale of last season’s wool, representing the 5 per cent, retention moneys which were deducted 'from the producers’ account sales in accordance with Government instructions. The firm received notification of release of the money on Monday, July 22, and the following day it had sent credit notes or cheques to all of its 700 clients for the amounts due to them. It was a considerable feat- of accountancy, because the credit note also contained the difference between the appraisal value of 12.25 d and the actual amount realised, representing 1.1-35G86-177 per cent, of the gross amount of the clients’ account sales, which had to be carefully calculated and checked for each individual.
