LOANS AND CASH GIFTS. TOTAL OF £9,250,000. (Received This Day, 1.20 p.m.) LONDON, July 42. It was- announced in the House of Commons to-day that eontVibutions made by the colonial empire toward the war effort, in the form of gifts in cash, including loans free of interest, but not including gifts in kind, amounted to £9, 250,000.
