ALLEGED SUBVERSIVE ACTIVITY (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, Junei 2. Following an investigation by the Public Service Commissioner into charges of subversive activity, an employee with 37 years of service in the Lands and Survey Department at Wellington, has handed in his resignation, and will be retired on superannuation. “The least that anybody horn in New Zealand, or anyone who lias adopted this country, can do while be is receiving all the benefits of the high standard of living and liberty of citizenship given here is to pull his weight and to give, every assistances both of physical effort and moral support to the nation,” said the Hon. F. Langstone (Minister for Lauds) in an interview.
