SUM OF £784 IN HAND.

THE ASHBURTON DONATIONS. With a sum of £784 actually in hand, the secretary to the Ashburton section of. the Fighting Services Appeal (Mr S. H Truman) reported at noon to-day that there were other amounts in sight, bringing the total to £920, and it is anticipated there will he a Quickening of effort on the part of collectors and donors to bring Ashburton’s fund to the £IOOO mark.
