Hiv/oing a new high in entertainment “The Ice Follies of 1939, starring Joan Crawford with James Stewart, Lew Ayres and Lewis Stone, opens a two-day engagement' starting at the matinee to-morrow (Tuesday.). “The Ice Follies of 1939” contains the happy combination of plot, extravaganza, and some, of the best tunes to come out of Hollywood this season. It features -Joan Crawford in the type of role which skyrocketed her to screen fame, and in, addition introduces iter to audiences as a new find in film songstresses. Janu-s Stewart, as Miss Crawford’s husband, has been happily east.
