THE TURKISH DISASTER
SUPPLIES FROM BRITAIN.
MEDICAL STORES FOOD. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 9.35 a.m.) LONDON, January 12. The Turkish Government has accepted the offer of the British Government to send supplies to Turkey for the relief of victims of the earthquake. The supplies consist of medical stores, including dressings for 2500 people, two complete medical field chests, 3000 blankets and flour and other provisions for 2000 for two months. The total value of these supplies is over £20,000. —British Official Wireless.
ASSISTANCE FROM INDIA.
LONDON, January 11
As a token of the deep sympathy of the Government and peoples of India in the terrible calamity that has overtaken Turkey- the Government of India has presented 1000 tents to the Turkish Government for help in accommodating victims of the earthquake. The tents are being shipped immediately to Egypt for onward transmission according to the wishes of the Turkish Government.
