PRIZE-GIVING.

TINWALD SUNDAY SCHOOL. The prize-giving ceremony of the Tinwald Anglican Sunday School was attended by about 50 children. The celebrations began with, a service conducted in St. Andrew’s Church by the vicar (the Eev. H. A. Childs), when a violet altar cloth was presented to the children’s corner, to commemorate St.’Andrew’s Day. Many parents attended the impromptu conceit and prize-giving which followed, items being given by Ruth Hardy, Joan Millichamp, Heather Nordstrom, Dawn Chibnall, songs; piano solos, Bona Reddecliffe, Noni Brown ; dance:, Eona Eeddecliffe r recitation. Matel Mclnnes ;songs, Brian Hulme, Neil Nordstrom, the kindergarten, the senior girls: recitation chorus, junior boys. The sixty-first birthday cake was lit by Joan Burrows and Mary Sewell (senior girls), and the candles were blown out by Dawn Chibnall and Peter Hardy. Miss M. Hampton, Sunday School teacher for more than 40 years, cut the cake:. Prizes for attendance were distributed by the vicar, almost every child receiving a prize.
