V.A.D. TRAINEES.

NEW GROUP AT HOSPITAL. RED CROSS EXAMS. THIS WEEK. Another group of trainees have entered the Ashburton .Public Hospital to take part In Voluntary Aid Division work. The trainees are: —Misses N. Campbell (Methven), F. Cork (Lauristpsa)> 33. Lemon (Lauriston), J. Findlay (.Lauriston) t it. Hayman (Willowby), I. McGregor (Windermere), R. McDowell (Hinds), and sl. Shearer (Winchmore). The latest group to complete its training comprised:—Mrs M. Moffatt (Ashburton), Misses I. McElrea (Ashburton), M. King* M. Moore, J. Ross, M. Tasker, E. Bennett (Ruapuna), H. Anderson (Fairton), and V. Mclntosh (Ashburton). Further Red Cross examinations will be conducted this week. To-mor-row afternoon Dr. J. Connor will judge the Ealing candidates in first-aid. The instructor there was Sister E. Briscoe. First-aid candidates from Hampstead, Mount Somers, Seafield, and, Maronan, will be examined by [Dr. H. S'. Billcliff on TliursdaA afternoon. The instructors in these branches have been Dr. W. R. Ryburn, Sister Symes. Dr. N. E. H. Fulton and Sister Farrell. On Thursday evening home-nursing candidates from Ashburton (Sisters Arnold and Torrens) and Hinds (Matron Corbett and Sister K. McKenzie) will be tested by Dr. J. Connor and Dr. Fulton.

First-aid trainees from liakaia (Dr. Candy and Dr. Byburn) will be examined by Dr. : Byburn.
