CANBERRA, November 16. The Prime Minister (Mr R. G.Menzies) announced to-day that the Commonwealth Bank would advance £20,000,000 to growers for the sale of their wheat. The basis of the advances 'would be--3s for bagged and 2s lOd for bulk? f.0.b., ports. The Commonwealth will repay itself , from market realisations and flour tax collections.. , , . In addition, the Commonwealth in certain circumstances will, provide £2,000,000 in order to raise the. average realisation for the marketed wheat to 3s 4d a bushel at shipping ports.
