AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE.
EXPENDITURE OF £50,000,000. EXCLUSIVE OF EMPIRE SCHEME. (Received This Day, 10.10 a.m.) CANBERRA, November 16. The Minister for the Army (Mr A. G. Street) announced that the expenditure on the Army will be £28,000,000, on the Navy £14,500,000, and on the Air Force £12,000,000, exclusive of the Empire air-trading plan.
