Mr 0. Christian, of the staff of the Hokitika Post Office, and formerly of Ashburton, is on a. holiday visit here. Mi* N. W. Travers, of the Railway Department at Grey mouth, lias been advised of his transfer to Chertsey. Mr Leon Breeze, son of Mr and Mrs G. M. Breeze, of Ashburton, has joined the Royal New Zealand Air Force, and will leave for the Wereroa training centre next week. A motion of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr A. A. Fooks was carried by the council of the Automobile Association last evening. Mr Fooks was a former member of the association.
