THE WEATHER.
MILD AGAIN TO-DAY. Although the weather broke for a short time last evening, there was not enough rain to do an appreciable amount of good. Only 1£ points were recorded at Ashburton. The sky was overcast to-day, but conditions were again mild. The maximum temperature was 6S.S degrees an the minimum, last night was 48. G degrees. The barometer stood at 29.75 inches this morning. TO-DAY’S FORECAST. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Government Meteorologist, at noon to-day,.issued the following statement regarding the weather:— General situation: Pressure is high in the north and rather low in the south, where a weak disturbance has been passing. The forecast for the east coast of the South Island from Blenheim to Oamaru is as follows: Moderate to fresh northerly winds, some rain in the ranges. Fair and warm on the plains. Seas slight.
