SUNDAY FUNERALS.

ELIMINATION FAVOURED, (Per Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, November 10. Unanimous support for efforts to eliminate Sunday funerals, except in special circumstances, was given the Now Zealand Funeral Directors’ Association by the General Assembly of . the Presbyterian Church to-day. The deputation which waited on the Assembly pointed out that .if funerals were not held on Sundays, employees of funeral directors could have the day free. Where it' was necessary that funerals should be held on Sundays, the funeral directors asked that they should take place before 11 a.m.
