FREIGHTER LOST.
ANOTHER NORTH SEA VICTIM. ALL CREW, BUT ONE SAVED. (Received This Day, 1.15 p.m.) LONDON, November 14. The freighter Matra was lost as a result of an explosion in the North Sea last night. The captain, the pilot, 10 officers and 40 Lascars Avere taken off by a lifeboat, Avhich made three? trips to the A’essel. A tanker picked up other members of the creAV avlio had roAved in the ship’s boat for several hours. One man AA'ho was dead was left aboard the Matra. ;, It. is believed the Matra sank a mile from the destroyer. The Matra Avas visible from the shore early to-day, avoll down at the stern.
