The King has approved the appointment of Mr Justice Nicolas Jackobyns de Wet, Chief Justice of the Union of South Africa, to be a member of the Privy Council. Mr Justice de Wet was Chief Censor and Assistant-State Attorney to the South African Republic during the early part of the South African War and later he was military secretary to General Botha until the end of that war.—British Official Wireless.
