RIFLE SHOOTING.

HIGH SCHOOL CHAMPIONSHIP. The annual senior shooting championship of the Ashburton High School was held on the Ashburton river-bed range on Saturday morning. The which was the final of a number of practices on previous Saturdays, resulted in a tie between T. Kennedy and H. Money, both of whom scored 210 out of a possible of 280. The points were made up of two lots of 10 rounds application at 200 yards and 10 at 300 yards, 10 rounds rapid in 60 seconds at 200 yards, 10 rounds rapid in 45 seconds at 200 yards, five rounds snap (six seconds exposure) at 200 yards, and five rounds snap (four seconds exposure) at 200 yards. There were 13 entrants, and the best score were: T. Kennedy 210, ;M. Money 210. R. Valentino 200, A. Martin 195, R. Smith 195, R. Vessey 102, E. Fowke 192.
