Tlio driest Carnival Week ior many years concluded at Riccarton on Saturday, north-westerly conditions continuing throughout the afternoon. The attendance was good, but there was a fairly substantial decrease of £7235 in investments compared with those of Metropolitan day last year. The shrinkage was accounted for by the smaller pools on two thin fields. For the meeting the investments were £223,496, as against £230,483 last year. Concluding results were. Following the running of the Nihotupu Hack Handicap, an inquiry was held into alleged interference with Royal Tray, who finished third, by the second horse Bronze Step. After hearing evidence, the stewards decided to reverse the plaeings, Royal Tray taking second place to Royal (Message, the winner, with Bronze Step third. The stewards added that the interference was in no way due to careless riding on the part of Bronze Step’s jockey, V. Gollop. NAPIER PARK RACING CLUB. OKAWA SUCCESSFUL. HASTINGS, November 11. The Napier Park Racing Club’s spring meeting was concluded in fine weather and the course was fast. The attendance was fair. The totalisator handled £8404 10s compared with £8448 10s last year. TJjc total for the meeting was £15,%42, against £10,281 10s last year. An inquiry was held into alleged interference by Royal Spades with Seirenata in the Taradale. Handicap, and it was found to be accidental andno further action was taken. Lady Stella’s interference with Fossicker three furlongs from home in the Omahu Hurdles was found to bo duo to both horses tiring and Lady Stella rolling over on Fossicker. There was a good attendance for the final day of the Victoria Racing Club’s spring meeting at Flomington yesterday, and the weather was fine and cool. High Caste had a brilliant victory in the Fisher Plate. He was always well placed and held off a challenge by Landlaw. Mosaic was a moderate third. Catalogue and Ortelle’s Star were outclassed. High Caste has won approximately £15,000 in stakes for his present owner, Mr H. E. Tailored. He will now be rested till the autumn. A report that he was being taken to America has been denied by Mr Tailored. Sectional times in the Fisher Plate were: First half-mile 53sec, six furlongs 1.19, last four 48isee. Further results:
