MISSIONARY UNION.

MAYFIELD PRESBYTERIANS. The monthly meeting of the Mayfield Presbyterian Women’s Missionary Union was held in tlio vestry room on Thursday afternoon when the president (Mrs S. J. Freeman) presided over a fair attendance. A motion of sympathy was passed to Mrs J. W. Kingan in her recent bereavement. It was agreed that a bring and buy sale be held on October 25 in aid of the Mission funds. It was decided to send a delegate to the annual conference in Christchurch in November. I t was reported that another sugar bag of clothing had been sent to Miss Lowery, for distribution to the Maoris. An interesting letter was received from Miss Salmond (Principal of the Training Institute in Dunedin), and a study was held on Mission work in the Punjab. The meeting closed after afternoon tea was served.
