ASHBURTON LADIES* CLUB. STABLEFORD BOGEY MATCH. The Stableford bogey match played by members of the Ashburton Golf Chib yesterday resulted in a tie between Miss B. Morrow and Miss P. Holland. Miss Morrow won on the count- back.
AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS. FERRIER, WINS AMATEUR TITLE. SYDNEY, August 31. The open champion, J. Ferrier, today beat H. L. "Williams (Victoria), 6 and 5, in the final of the Australian
amateur golf championship- Ferrioir thus retained the title and also established a world record by winning the national, open, and amateur championships for two years in succession. E. Naisniith beat G. Naisniith,- his cousin, 7 and 5, in the final of the Australian professional championship.
