The Duke of Kent, in a speech at a meeting of the Genei'al Council of King George’s Fund for Sailors, said: “The present times are most , difficult. Wo all hope and pray that sane counsels will prevail. The rearmament programme, combined with tlie large number of the younger generation joining the services, may result in older seafaring men returning to the sea.”
